t's not odd that Hanabi found herself in Bosco. It was inevitable given her current status of "wandering around the world in search of glory." Though what wasn't expected was for her to somehow stumble her way into a family dispute that had ended up political. And honestly, that goes to say more about them and it did about her. That these people were so willing to take the help of a teenage girl that they could barely understand and who could barely understand them is baffling. However, Hanabi isn't the type of person to throw away a chance at work, especially when it could directly help her towards her goal. So, reluctantly, she decided to join them for this little escapade.

They said she had to choose between them, with there being 3 choices. Apparently there used to be more but they had some complications and were no longer available. To Hanabi, three choices wasn't enough but it wasn't like she had a say in the matter or anything, plus she didn't really care either way and was just in it for something to do. Randomly, she picked the brother, the only lasting male out of the bunch. From what she was told, he had some visions to exploit one place and rule over another, a concept she couldn't quite wrap her head around but it didn't really matter to her.

What mattered is that she finally had an employer.

Her first task? Slavery.

Well, there was more nuance to it than that but the jist of it was just forcefully enslaving some ruffians that didn't agree with her employer. It's amazing how she could go from being some random urchin fresh to the country to now being psuedo law enforcement. A task like this was simple enough that there was very little ways for her to fuck it up, but still enough that someone was going to do it. A test to see what she could do and where her true loyalties lied, she totally understood and would do the same thing in their position. That didn't change the fact that it was still a pain in the ass to her. Yeah, it'd probably get her name out there, but nobody ever remembers grunt number 102 or whatever. Worrying about it wasn't going to change the situation so she had no choice but to see it through.

Luckily, for her, the first group of threats were still in Bosco. Some Stellans had somehow made it to Bosco and were causing a ruckus in one of the smaller towns, though the real problem was what they were saying. If people started to sympathize with them then the Bastard would never stand a chance in the competition.

Finding them wasn't hard. The thing about being a resistance is that you want to have your voice heard to spread your message. As soon as Hanabi entered the village she could hear them spouting nonsense in the town square. Hey, it made her job a whole lot easier. The nekomata approached her targets silently, wading through the crowd while keeping her eye fixated on the couple that everyone gathered around. The two of them were talking about the dethroning the oppressor or something. Hanabi wasn't paying attention to what exactly they were saying, she wasn't getting paid to listen.

Swiftly and effectively, Hanabi drew her sword and placed it on the woman's neck. Quickly both of them stopped talking and looked at Hanabi, waiting for her to make the next move.

"Alright, so here's deal. You stop talking, come with me, you live. You don't, you die. I'd like to not kill today, very messy, hard to explain." In her patented broken speak, Hanabi tried her best to convey what she wanted. "I won't tell twice." The couple nodded slowly as the crowd around them slowly started to disperse. Made sense that nobody was going to stop the sword wielding manic and stand up for some randoms they didn't know.

And with that, it was a simple trip back to a holding cell to transport them to their new jobs.
