She had almost reached Oak. According to her memories of the layout of Western Fiore, all that was left of her journey was to cross through this forest and she would reach the city of Oak. Despite the fact her journey had been free of any incidents so far, she couldn't shake off the feeling of concern that lingered within her. She knew all too well that if she failed to convince Erebus, the chance was very high that the events that would unfold afterward would lead to an all-out war between Eternal Nightmare and Blue Pegasus.

She paused, standing underneath the shake of a large tree while allowing her gaze to drift to the canopy above her. She had to prevent this war from happening at all costs. The chaos, the consequence that the war would have upon the innocent bystanders of Hargeon was unforgivable. Perhaps she could still convince Erebus that he shouldn't take the path of a destroyer, that to destroy and consume would leave nothing in its wake. Unfortunately, destruction was the lone thing that Odin's legacy had left behind.

His desire to unleash Morrigan had always been such. What beauty was there in a lifeless world? What worth was there in a world bereft of the potential of mortals? She couldn't ever acknowledge Odin's ideals, and that was what placed her at odds with the man even after he died.

Perhaps it infuriated her in a way that even in death, his legacy continued to haunt her, like a phantom. "Is destruction truly the only way? Is that what you desired for your legacy to be Odin Morningstar? In your fanatic search for Morrigan you discarded and destroyed so many things... Would there truly never be an end to such greed?"

Did it mean that the only answer was to answer in kin then? However, her gaze shifted, lowering as she started to resume her walk. The density of the trees lessened, and almost the city of Oak would come into view soon afterward. But something had been bothering her. The unusual absence of the sound of wildlife, the dreadful silence that she finally broke, raising her voice just enough for the stranger to hear her.

"You do know that stalking a lady while remaining in the shadows is quite inappropriate, right?"

Was it paranoia? Or did she truly notice someone stalking her ever since she left Baska to head toward Oak? It could be, but her intuition told her otherwise. A bold thief? A mischievous Trickster? Eternal Nightmare's welcome committee? So many potential answers. But there was only one who could provide the solution to her question.

There was a presence in the forest, an unfamiliar footstep. Oak was the pride of Eternal Nightmare, or maybe its hostage. Depends on who you asked. No one could enter the forest that bordered Eternal Nightmare's territory without someone spotting them. Unless they wore an invisibility cloak or a magical enchantment. Spotters as they were, civilians associated with the nightmares.

Nana had only returned to Oak a day or so back. She had recently helped a lesser ranked nightmare in the guild to accomplish a more difficult mission. The tall blonde daemon needed to talk to her sensei about something. he had said he needed her help once she had become stronger. Now was the time to strike while the iron was hot. For soon, there would be a guild war that would consume every moment and every life. If the nightmares had their way about it, the whole of Fiore would be rocked at its foundations. the walls of the citizens' ignorance and bliss would come tumbling down. Innocents would be forced to fend for themselves: whether that was taking the life of would-be thieves, or taking the lives of other innocents just to survive themselves.

The people of Fiore lived a false happiness and they were too ignorant to realize it themselves. Tyranny in the name of justice. It had many labels and titles. To Nana, it was simply pathetic. The weak were meant to be preyed upon the strong. the strong were to consume one another until only one remained.

One of the spotters stopped Nana while she was barely within the proximity of Oak. "There is a stranger headed into the forest." the person would say to Nana as they passed by her nonchalantly. Nana didn't react, even though she knew exactly what the person meant. A wicked smile spread across her lips and she turned towards the tree line immediately.

It wouldn't take her long to discover the tracks of the unwanted guest. Few were allowed to traverse these forbidden lands. Fewer whom had the audacity to disregard the boundary between safety... and stupidity. There was no doubt in Nana's mind. This person was strong, even if foolish. The identity of the target was quickly recognize: for how could Nana not recognize the famed figure before her- whom had yet to notice she was being followed. Or had she?

Nana used the trees as cover, taking light footsteps and dashing from trees to get closer and closer to Esperia. Once she was within twenty meters of Esperia's location, she heard the woman call out. Did she truly know that she was being followed? Or was she simply suspicious due to the nature of the forbidden forest? Entering it was an assured way to get attacked. Nana snickered to herself softly, hiding behind a tree and played a game. A waiting game. Esperia was one of the few people in Fiore who had fought her teacher and lived to tell the tale. The daemon woman wished to witness this woman's strength and see if she lived up to her sensei's respect.

If Esperia didn't come looking for her, nor used magic to find her. Nana would wait out Esperia's patience, listening carefully and watching the shadows on the grass to make sure her foe didn't get the surprise on her. She would wait, watching Esperia's shadow from behind a tree- using the tree's shadow to mask her own. Her magic guns would appear in both of her hands and she crossed them over her chest as she leaned against the tree and breathed softly. Her companion Spur held onto her long golden hair, perched upon her shoulder, curiously awaiting to see what their master would do.

A game of patience. There was some irony in that. A part of her had considered the idea of simply moving onwards, after all if she was being observed then it also meant her observer was cautious enough not to show themselves. It was a clever trick, after all, she had no way to ascertain her suspicions. She had long lost her ability to see the blood paths, ever since she abandoned her vampirism for the sake of greater heights. Or maybe she did have a way to turn the game into a different one.

"Hide and seek hmm~ I never was that good with that game." Esperia chimed softly as she slowly raised a hand to her lips. "I'm too impatient for it~"

A sudden bite followed, feeling her teeth dig into her flesh, a light stinging sensation that was accompanied by a spark of pure mana as she underwent her metamorphosis: To the onlooker the transformation into a Titan often tended to be described as either awe-inspiring or horrifying, the way the bones of the ribcage wrapped around her being, encasing her like a protective layer while flesh started to cover it, muscles and tissue wrapping around it as it started to grow higher and higher, taller and taller as swiftly a titanic body had wrapped around her.

The female Titan towered high, at least somewhere between eighteen and nineteen meters in height, although she was still kneeling as she spoke. "Maybe..." Taking a deep breath the gigantic being clenched a fist and swept it outwards, easily uprooting the nearby trees under the massive strength of her arm.

It might have not been enough to clear the entire forest, for such a feat would require a way larger body mass, but considering her size she had at least uprooted the trees within several meters around her. "you prefer a game of tag?" As the Titan spoke her gaze drifted amidst the collapsed trees. It was at that time a bit of a mischievous idea rose up within her mind. "How about we make it a very simple game~ You reveal yourself before I reach the end of this forest... If not?"

Her eyes sharpened as she started to take several footsteps into the direction of the city of Oak, a hand resting on the bark of the tree as her fingers tightened around it, the tugging pressure making the ground underneath it shake lightly as the roots were starting to come loose. "I'll pull your tower out of the ground the same way I did with the trees~"

If there was anything she thought that she understood about Eternal Nightmare, then it was the fact the tower was like a base of operations for them. To threaten to destroy it, was to threaten to destroy their pride, the bastion of their operations, the place they called home, and the symbol of their sovereignty over Oak.

"You better hurry~ For one small step for a Titan..." As she strolled in the direction of Oak the Titan continued to hum. "Is a sprinting course for most."

This was a game Nana intended to win, but her prey also seemed to have somewhat of a mischievous nature. Nana was not watching Esperia directly, rather, her shadow. Nana listened to her words as she spoke, ascertaining the intention of the woman. Not her exact intention, but it was apparent enough that this woman intended to make hiding impossible. A poor sport. Nana thought to herself, not frowning but actually giggling.

At least Nana could say that her foe was not making things boring! As Esperia bit into her hand and unleashed a wave of pure magical essence, nana knew she had to change her position. Instead of looking at Esperiea's shadow, Nana would peek around the bark to witness the transformation. It was very different than Nana's own daemon transformation, on a more grand scale. She fired her pistols from around the tree and then dashed in the opposite direction. Nana dashed(25m/s) as Esperia's new form expanded and towered over the trees. She used the canopy of trees to hide her movement as she did the only wise thing on the spur of the moment. The two beams of her guns would veer slightly around the tree and give a wrong impression about the true direction from which the weapons had been fired. Had Esperia the chance to dodge during her transformation, she would find that the two beams of magical bullets would follow her movements.

Nana assumed it was impossible for Esperia to keep track of such swift and concise movements during her transformation. The wisest course of action was to not be where the enemy assumed she was. A wise decision indeed. As Nana dashed, she would go in the direction of behind and under her target- around her lower waist to a blind spot. Her instincts would prove invaluable as a wide swing of Esperia's arm toppled the trees in the immediate proximity. Had she used her right or left arm for the attack? It mattered little, as Nana had dashed under the arm that was swung out wide.

Assuming Nana's plan hadn't been foiled at this point, the two magic bullet attacks would crash into Esperia unless she intercepted them or evaded them. The outcome would be the same however. Whether dodging or intercepting- likely with her new massive arms, Esperia's attention would be divided between her task of clearing the trees to reduce camouflage, as well as dealing with the two attacks launched from a mysterious location. While the attacks would be introduced to Esperia, Nana would already be behind and in the giant form's blind spot, her daggers at the ready as she dashed once more- straight up and to the most exposed part of the giant. The back of her neck, the nape.

The straight dash would bring her up over halfway up the giant's form, to which she would run along the arched back of her swinging kneeled foe to the last few meters. Her guns at the ready, she would twirl viciously, allowing her guns' blade sides to slash at the nape of Esperia's new form. Her hope was to wound Esperia or better yet-decapitate her and end the game which hard started out as hide and seek, but quickly turned into tag. If her attack succeeded, two deep red lines would appear in Esperia's neck(2 S Rank dmg before any damage reductions. 32 BaseSTR+60(Earring)+100x2(Gundaggers)=192x2) and she would begin to cast a verbal incantation. "And shepherds we shall be. For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand. That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee. And Teeming with souls shall it ever be." If her attack was thwarted, she would kick off of the giant's skin and grab onto the tassels of the giant's hair and await a better counter-attack, all the while repeating the words to her spell.

The soft melodious sound of giggling was accompanied by a sudden pair of bullets that transformed into beams of energy that tracked down onto her movements. Meanwhile around the same time she had started to force the trees away with her titanic strength, she could feel a sudden burst of energy sear into her right arm, causing her to instinctively draw upon the power of her regeneration. Although the attacks had done their mark, searing into the flesh and even exposing some of the muscle tissue underneath it, a soft sizzling sound came from the arm as it already started to regenerate from the injuries.

A daredevil move, yet one thing Esperia had learned during her time as a tactician and advisor in the Sentinel Syndicate, then it was to always plan three steps ahead.

The same moment she had risen onto her feet, she brought her elbow upwards and forwards, to some it might had looked similar like as if she was about to swat a pesky fly that crawled onto the back of her neck. Was she being too slow? It seemed to be the case, as by the time her hand reached the nape of her neck to react to the pesky feet she felt climbing onto the back of her body, the Titan's hand had been too late. The two gundaggers sliced into hardened flesh, but it was in that same moment the hand finally covered her escape route as well.

The same sissling sound from before resounded from the nape of her neck, around the spot the two gundaggers were descending to, but this time it was not flesh being restored, no this time it was skin opening like a cocoon, but what was inside was likely not what the nightmare had expected:

A collective of paper sheets rose from the opening in the cocoon, heading straight for the woman and attempting to cover her entire body, and with the way the giant hand had blocked off the outside, it would be quite hard to escape backward in a swift enough motion. There was barely any space between the fingers of the Titan and the bottom of her hand where her wrist pressed down onto her neck, meaning she had essentially tried to create a cage to trap the Nightmare in.

With her bind cast, whether the Nightmare was strong enough to break through it, or overcharged the mana in her body to forcefully dispel it, it was that moment of opportunity Esperia intended to take as she was found lunging out of the cocoon, fist raised and a swift jab being aimed at Nana's torso.

"Dunno who told you about my Magic's weak spot~ Eternal Nightmare shouldn't be aware of it yet... Not that it matters much I guess~" She giggled softly, attempting to make another jab, this time at Nana's throat to restrain her rather than inflict truly some damage.

"Pity, you look like the type of mischievous vixen I could get along with splendidly if she picked her company better~"

A final second attack was made in the form of a knee strike toward the woman's abdomen. "So let's start with proper introductions, shall we? I am Esperia~"

Although she might have left her open for a counter-attack by exposing herself like this, it seemed she still was scheming something judging from the paper sheets that were floating around them in this hand-made cage.

This fight would not prove either fighter to be the superior, at least as of yet. Nana's feign had proven effective, both in damaging the target but also allowing her to close the distance and strike at her foe's exposed backside with her agility. The blades on her guns had sunk true, slicing the nape and drawing two large red gashes across the unnaturally large womanly skin. Maybe it was because Espy was so large, that her skin could be under close scrutiny of Nana's luminous purple eyes. Despite the two slashes across the skin, nana couldn't help but admire the pretty neck. it seemed her foe took great care of her own skin, much like Nana.

Despite her admiring the foe's lovely skin complexion, Nana saw something unnatural about the skin as well. Instead of a clean wide slash from her daggers, the skin seemed to deteriorate or melt, giving way to the sinew and muscle beneath. For most, that would be a grotesque sight indeed, but Nana didn't perceive right or wrong in the way many did. Yes she understood the differences between them, but her mind was fractured and unbound by precepts of the limitations mankind put upon themselves. The only human emotions she exhibited were loyalty to her teacher Erebus, and selfishness. The act of doing as she pleased, whenever she pleased to be specific. Consequences be damned. Much like in the situation that would unfold momentarily.

She had already finished the incantation necessary for her next attack, but she noticed the arm descending upon her from her peripherals. She had no time to escape as the arm came down, so too did something emerge from the deteriorated flesh. A human was beneath the giant's skin! Esperia's true body to be exact. It was a surprise even for Nana, whom had assumed the giant form was Esperia's true body- similar to Nana's own Daemon or Devil transformations. Esperia had caught her be surprise and pincered her between a fly-swatting hand, and her true self.

It did not stop there however, parts of the giants' flesh around where nana was trapped between, had started to take a completely different and unnatural shape. Where instead of smooth skin, it had dried out, cracked and separated into perfectly shaped square or rectangular sheets of what appeared to be paper. Nana had never seen anything of this sort before, but she felt that Esperia's battle sense rivaled the size of her giant's stature. They hunter had become the prey.

The only fortunate thing Nana had going for her at this point, was her pre-planned secondary attack. Her initial plan was to evade an attack that would surely come from behind like the giant hand had. She had planned to evade and then fire her incanted spells at Esperia's giant body as a counter-attack. The emergence of her real body and her pincer attack had forced Nana's hands in a desperate singular action in which all of her being urged her to pull her trigger fingers at the woman whom was emerging from within the flesh.

A wicked smile stretched across her face as she laughed out loud, cackling- not from the prospect of victory or defeat. Simply from the sheer extasy she was feeling from having been pushed into such a tight corner so soon into their battle. Mere seconds had passed and the two of them were already trading blows to the point that both of them were about to be seriously hurt. Consequences be damned indeed. She squeezed the trigger of both guns which were now aimed at Esperia's true body as it emerged from the skin. "I got yo-~" she would exclaim, then fall short.

Maybe it was the sound of her magical blasts at such point blank range. Or maybe it had been the fact that the sheets of paper which came from the giant's skin, had traveled too quickly to surround Nana's entire body just as the blast of her weapons would reach Esperia's position. Regardless of whether Esperia had a contingency for such a point blank attack or not, the sheer magnitude of Nana's attack in such close proximity would incinerate Nana's own black dress and undergarments, leaving her obscenely gifted womanly figure stark naked for but the blink of an eye before Esperia's papers entombed her body. The blonde daemon would find herself incapable of moving, or even squeezing her guns' trigger again for that matter! If only she could pull the triggers once more, she was certain she could finish off the crafty woman who was before her.

Nana's attack would not be enough to finish her foe however, far from it. At this point, if Esperia had continued her attack despite the brazen point blank; there would be nothing Nana could do to defend herself. All she could do was to continue to laugh maniacally until the force of the first strike by Esperia's fist knocked the wind out of her. She would wheeze for air momentarily, trying to catch her breathe instinctually. Esperia was far from done herself, as she followed up with with an unsolicited verbal retort while she would grasp Nana's neck with her other hand. Nana could hear, but it would be a second or two before she could comprehend the words of the woman whom was dominating her at the moment.

Just as Nana felt she ahd recovered her breathe, Esperia's knee came up to accentuate Esperia's ettiquette at properly introducing oneself. Again, her air was knocked out of her and she coughed several times, for that was all she could do while being bound by this mysterious paper from the giants' body. If Esperia had no intention of interrupting Nana until she could regain her breathe and stop coughing, she would finally offer Esperia the first actual words directed to the other woman. "Nana." she would say hoarsely, introducing her name to the woman. "Who's to say we can't be friends and still fight seriously!" she would follow with emphasis and start laughing again despite being completely helpless for the moment. This laugh was not maniacal, but a lower uncontrolled, unbridled laughter as a grin spread across her daemon face. The laughter, best described as the kind in which you laugh uncontrollably with hysteria: mixed with Nana's overjoyed facial expression, would give Esperia a few indicators to exactly how many screws were loose in Nana's head.

There was another reason Nana would be laughing though. Esperia had struck her with physical attacks and Nana's little cute and shy companion was not so far away. The two strikes that Esperia had inflicted upon her, would be returned by in a slightly diminished way. Esperia too might have found it difficult to breathe or speak properly for several seconds- as she may have had the air knocked out of herself as well.

Meanwhile, Spur the exceed, Nana's companion had been just on the opposite side of the skin which was Esperia's giants' hand that blocked Nana's retreat. Since Esperia had exited her giants' flesh, that meant the body would rapidly decay. Which is to say, Spur found this fact out quickly as the cute little pointy head fell into a hole in the flesh that had quickly widened beneath its feet. It would tumble down and into the tight spot between the giant's neck and palm "Kew!" it would say in a cute but surprised tone as it landed softly on a mound of flesh not too far away from where the two women were essentially arm in arm- Nana's gun arms still extended out and wide as if in a hug position, and Esperia tenderly wrapped around Nana's throat and up in her guts with her knee.

Instead of surprise or a desire to help its master, Spur did what it did best. the exceed's face turned red with embarrassment as it quickly used its paws to cover its eyes. "K-k-Kew!" it would squeal as if apologizing for seeing something it definitely should not have seen. For Nana was naked, and maybe her foe was as well from the blast of nana's magic gun attack. granted most of Nana's body was bound in a paper binding, so out of the two of the women- at least Nana would have a modicum of privacy from both Spur and Esperia's eyes. of course if Esperia had fairly similarly, she would take full advantage and memorize every curve, crevice and skin tone of Esperia's form. Laughing uncontrollably all the while.
Spoiler:

Assuming all of this is correct, Esperia would be left with 1 S Rank & 1 A Rank's worth of CON left.
Nana will have 2 S Ranks worth of CON left. Nana is current bound.

It seemed like this would become a proper exchange of blows. While her bind did its work, it unfortunately came a moment too late, for Nana's attack was fired at Esperia. The sudden beams of energy that were fired scorched into her flesh, causing a pained gasp to escape her lips. Fortunately, her robe had taken some of the damage, but that certainly hurt a crap ton! Mentally reminding herself to be more cautious next time, the attacks that followed did their thing, although there was an ironic exchange as the maniacal laughter of the woman resounded through the air. "O boy~ Fighting friends while putting your life on the line for the duel? You wouldn't happen to be Erebus' sister right? If you were, I need to whack him twice for not telling me he had such a beautiful, albeit slighty nutty sister~"

The playful remark was accompanied by a sudden thud nearby, although rather than an expected ambush, the cute and timid sound of the exceed made Esperia's lips curve up as she thought of a sceme. Indeed, it was true that the attacks had done their job onto both of them. Her clothes were scorned to the point her robe only covered her most private of places, the timid reaction of the Exceed was all she needed to know what to do.

"How cute~ you even got a peeping tom to cheer you on~" her knee retracted, instead sliding between the bound legs of the daemon, a hand raising to Nana's paper-bound torso as she gently trailed a hand along their shape.

"You must be very fortunate to have such an energetic and beautiful master~ But you shall have to excuse me for a moment little Exceed~ I plan to befriend your master in a more... intimate way~"

Sure her actions would embarass the exceed even further, the fact it was covering its eyes was all she needed to trigger her secondary spell, the paper sheets floating around them suddenly transforming into a collective of dagger-like projectiles that came raining down onto Spur, a rain of attacks that if they didn't already make him flinch, was followed by a punting kick from the woman.

Not a serious one, just enough to knock the companion off the hand and render him unconscious if it hit. At the same time, Nana likely would notice Esperia had not ceased to entertain her either, as the hand that was exploring her torso started to squeeze more firmly. And then? As if on cue she let her fingers dig strongly enough into Nana's throat, not enough to choke her to death, for that would be such a waste of such a beauty and entertaining foe. No, she had targeted particular spots in the neck to numb her, similar to paralysis in a way.

It was only after she confirmed that Nana was properly bested that the paper sheets around her formed properly into wings and she would allow her grip on Nana to lessen, descending toward the surface where she had punted off the Exceed and gently lowered Nana onto the grass.

"Guess I wait for her to wake up, if I let the Nightmares find her like this., they will accuse me of some veeeeery grave misunderstandings."

Esperia mused softly as she allowed the paper sheets to retract from Nana's body, instead letting them become akin to a blanket underneath her. "God damd Erebus, why didn't you warn me about the pillows man... Not cool, you have to warn a lewdling when you got such a weapon at your disposal."

----

*updating post with specifics in a bit, essentially Espy did her Shikigami spell to inflict A-rank damage to Spur > punt him off the hand 1,5 S-rank (which should be enough to knock him out), meanwhile squeeze and KO by snoo snoo attempt on Nana, which if she is knocked out will lead Espy to lower them both onto the grass next to Spur.

Esperia knew Erebus, but Nana hadn't expected to be compared to her teacher. Let alone be compared to a sister. Truly, he was like an older brother to the daemon woman. He remained an enigma however and rarely showed his casual side even to her. It was usually business or killings first: to which, nana didn't mind at all. Simply, this made Nana wonder just how well Esperia knew her teacher. "It could have been anyone to greet you in the forest. Even Erebus-Sensei himself. We're not related, but he trained me when I first joined the guild." she would say admittedly. Perhaps in a way, Esperia was fortunate that it had been Nana who had fought her. Some of the other guild members were very obstinate and out for blood.

An odd thing to say, due to Nana always giving it her best to go for killing blows. Yet out of everyone, Nana was likely the easiest to convince to not kill you. It could be words or actions, or even body language. You just had to give Nana a reason to not excuse your existence into non-existence. While presently, Esperia was still int he former part of Nana's desires... the next actions would change Nana's mind and attitude towards the other woman.

The thudding sound of her exceed falling into the small space between the hand and nape of the rotting giant, pulled Nana's mind away for a moment. She was immobilized after all, there was little she could do but take in the sight of Esperia barely being clothed by her cloak. An action that surely would embarrass Nana's exceed companion. Even when Nana took baths or went to hot springs, Spur was always with her, yet he usually held one hand over his eyes while holding on to her hair with the other hand. In a way, Spur was a master of self control. Or maybe it was that he was too much of a shy boy to ogle any woman. Out of anyone, she minded Spur the least if he had mustered the courage to look directly at Nana's sinful body.

Though bound, Nana could feel Esperia as she explored the daemon's body. She struggled to flex her muscles or even pull her trigger fingers again, but in vain. It was an embarrassing but also thrilling adventure. One she would have to repay Esperia for her kindness at some point. She simply continued to laugh in the low continuous guttural way that could have been more described as a giggle. Even as Spur was suddenly attacked by paper-like daggers and then punted off of the make-shift flesh platform, Nana continued to laugh. Did she care for Spur? Yes. Was Spur getting hurt? Yes. Would he die? No. An attack like that was not enough to kill her little companion, although she would be sure to cuddle him and spoil him at a later date.

It was only then that Nana's laughter would be interrupted. Esperia had gone from a gentle and curious caress, to a forceful groping- taking in a full measure of Nana's chest. The part which impeded Nana's laughter was to follow, as Esperia suddenly dug her fingers in and around Nana's throat. With the woman's strength, she could have easily ended Nana while so vulnerable, yet the way she was choking Nana was intentional and lacked the killing intent that may have been present in Nana if the tables were turned. She would cough a few times, gasping for air, looking directly into Esperia's eyes until the moment her eyes rolled into the back of her head and she passed out.

She would be unaware of the actions to follow, as she drifted into a fitful unconscious state that could be best described as a deep slumber. Her body remained relaxed and naked as Esperia transformed her paper prison into a pair of wingers. The woman had lowered herself and Nana down gentle, placing the blonde daemon woman near her exceed companion. Though unconscious, Nana could sense her cute little squishy companion nearby and her sleeping figure grabbed Spur. Her arms wrapped around him and pulled him close to her chest, depositing him between her bosom, much to his seeming displeasure. He would struggle in vain, for the sake of his own manliness. He was used to Nana doing this to him in the middle of the night, but now there was a second semi-naked woman watching! "Kew....." he would say in defeat as he stopped struggling.

For a good ten minutes or so, unless Esperia forcibly woke her up, Nana would remain asleep. A fitful sleep, but asleep nonetheless. She would toss and turn, moving Spur about and at one point, even using him for a pillow. It would be then that he eyes would open sleepily and yawn. For a couple of seconds, she didn't recall the events that led up to her sleeping on the ground, or why she was naked... But then again, she slept naked anyways. Then, all of the memories of the battle flooded into her and she quickly grasped the general outcome of their battle. At this point, some people may have raised their guard once more, dashing away to seek distance from their target, but Nana just sat up. She sprawled her legs beneath her as if sitting in a naked sleepy pose and turned her sleepy eyes towards Esperia."So? Why didn't you kill me?" was all she would ask, foregoing a verbal reprimand of Esperia assessing Nana's 'goods' Nana was many things, but she was not a hypocrite. If the tables had been turned, she would have done the same to Esperia.

It had been at the moment Esperia ahd choked her into submission, that Nana found the woman playful enough to reconsider her killing intentions. It seemed that this woman would provide Nana with plenty of resistance in their friendly back and forth games. That being said, Nana was displeased with herself somewhat. She had fought three S Rank mages that her teacher had known and all three of them had bested her. Not just in magic or physical combat, but in experience as well. Two of the three times now, having Nana unconscious. Nana would visibly pout then, folding her arms beneath her exposed chest and turned her lip up and puffed her cheeks slightly. "Erebus-Sensei was right about how strong you are." she would say, only giving that much as a compliment.

"I cannot stop you now if you wish to go to our tower, but you will find the other nightmares less... welcoming than me." she would say, insinuating the reaction may prove less than desirable to Esperia, but then again, Nana's reaction to Esperia entering the forbidden woods was a typical reaction. granted she herself was a nutcase and cared more for the fight with Esperia, than the transgression of entering the guild's private property. A powerful mage such as Esperia entering a dark guild's domain was essentially a declaration of war. A war that even the Eternal Nightmare could not support at them present, for their preparations of wiping Blue Pegasus out.

This had been the most Nana had actually verbally conversed with her new friend, albeit Esperia had made many attempts to talk to Nana- or rather, maybe at Nana. In a way, if Esperia could pick up on the verbal cues, she was showing a small amount of concern for Esperia. If Erebus were at the tower, even Esperia would be hard-pressed in a one on one combat. Let alone against a whole guild. Solemnly, Spur sat in nana's naked lap, covering her lady bits. His arms folded, his eyes closed for more than one reason and he nodded his head in a sagely way as if in agreement with his master. "Kew kew kew!" Though by now, both women knew that Spur's real reason for keeping his eyes closed, was from the red blush on his little puffy cheeks.

After Nana had lost consciousness Esperia had seemingly chosen to let her rest undisturbed. The mage had instead decided to simply regain her strength, after all, she had suffered some serious injuries during her fight with Nana. Instead, she was simply sitting there, eyes closed till Nana stirred and addressed here.

"That is where your mentor and I differ in opinions." A short response that likely would beget more questions. Was Esperia a pacifist? An idealistic hero who believed that killing was wrong and unforgivable? The answer would be a surprising one: "Life is a journey, a constant pursuit of greater heights and potential. To force such an adventure to end early... What excitement is there in it? If anything, to kill you would have been a waste of that potential."

Her eyes opened as they gazed calmly at Nana. "Unfortunately I'll have to disappoint you, for if I am honest with you? I lost a lot of my former power." She heaved a sigh, climbing back onto her feet, her robe still tattered. "Demon Lords~ Olympian Deities~ The Sunken kingdom of Nebuchad~ The grand halls of Valhalla, I have seen and experienced so much~ And yet I'm not satisfied."

Her lips curved up into a smile. "For these adventures have taught me that as a ruler I need to be greedier than anyone~ I need to laugh louder and rage for longer than any other.... to embody the very extreme of all things good and evil. That is why my retainers envy my very existence and adore me as well~ It is why the flames of aspiration can burn so brightly in my people."

She laughed, heartfelt laughter as she shook her head lightly. "All these years I spend trying to stop Odin's ambitions from becoming a reality. Believing that it was my duty to prevent him from unleashing that terror which would end Earthland?"

But all that time... "But that was never the case, not the true reason. I'm not a hero~ I'm a conqueror Nana, when I see something I desire, I claim it~ And that is exactly why I and Odin never saw eye to eye: This world is our playground Nana, the strong are entitled to claim it as theirs because there is nobody strong enough to oppose them."

She lowered a hand into a small pouch that was barely remaining from her robe, revealing what appeared to be... a potion of sorts. "I refuse to let Odin, or anyone else end this world. Not even Eternal Nightmare and Erebus"

She gently pulled off the lid of the potion and hummed softly. "He should stop hiding behind these borrowed ideals of his. Using Odin's death as an excuse to start a war is not a warrior's way. It is merely the barking of a coward. If he wishes to avenge Odin? Then fight Alisa, but don't drag the weak and innocent into his grudges, he is better than that."

A soft giggle escaped her lips as she brought the potion to her lips and jugged it down in one go, an odd sight perhaps, but perhaps curious would be what would happen next. "Phew~ you made me thirsty after all that talking~" If Nana had been paying attention to Esperia's appearance, she would likely notice the woman's eyes had turned scarlet in color.

"Since you were so kind to listen to my rant, I'll give you a little reward~"

Stepping over to Nana she crouched down, a hand gently tapping Spur's head if he didn't move away as she whispered into Nana's ear. "I am not exactly a Fairy Tail mage~ While it's true that I am currently aiding them, I am more or less loosely affiliated with them. It's a secret that Erebus is familiar with, but considering your 'presence', I think it's only fair that I properly introduce myself again"

Esperia's lips curved into a mischievous smile: "Just like Daemons have Demons as their 'benefactors', so do vampires have a similar 'benefactor'. I spare you the long-winded history lessons, but in Earthland there are several families~ like imagine Demon Lords, each of these houses hold both history and power alike and are led by a particular vampire. Consider them like vampire lords? Either way~ that is what I truly am~ A Vampire Lord~"

She rose back onto her feet, stretching her arms into the air. "Unfortunately, I can't enter Oak dressed like this, so Erebus will have to wait for our reunion..." She sighed in amusement, her gaze shifting down to Nana. "Ah right~ you must be wondering why I don't show the typical traits of a vampire~ That's cause I sealed these powers away in the past~ the potion just now is meant to start allowing these powers to resurface. so soon I'll return to my true self~ Cain knows I'd need it for my fight against Erebus."

Esperia had won this fight and there was little that Nana could do at this point. Even if she were to leave now, she would not make it in time to warn anyone. Not that she really cared much at this point. In fact, it would be more entertaining to see what Esperia could do against someone like Nana's teacher.

That wouldn't be the case however, as even Esperia seemed to change her mind about going farther. Aside from the philosophical difference between the two women, this was also another difference. Naked or not, Nana would attack Blue Pegasus for the sake of her teachers' revenge. Loyalty was the only emotion that Nana truly felt- a deeply engrained sensation that had been instilled into her after she had been rescued as a child from the streets of Oak's dark alleys. Out of everyone in the guild, she cared for Erebus the most, as an older brother. If he had left the guild, she could care very little about the guild itself.

Odin was dead and Nana's teacher was out for blood. Odin had been important to him in ways that Nana's mental state was incapable of comprehending. Her parents had died or abandoned her as a small child and she had grown up killing and stealing just to make it day by day. Although she was a lot stronger this day than as a child, someone such as Esperia seemed to be far from their full potential. Rather than being depressed that she had lost to Esperia in her weakened state, it thrilled Nana.

Nana herself hadn't gone full blown potential on Esperia either. At the time, she hadn't felt it was necessary, but their battle had happened in the matter of seconds. There really hadn't been much time to decide mentally whether to use her daemon or devil forms. The ending result was that although short and intense, both women had held back. Nana couldn't help but wonder which of them would have been unconscious if they had fought with their full power.

The blonde haired daemon looked around the forest as Esperia spoke. A part of the forest was in shambles and eventually, someone else would notice their skirmish. If the two of them had gone at full combat, there may have been very little left of the forbidden forest that separated Oak from Eternal Nightmare's guild hall. "Basically.. You are saying as long as we don't kill, there is more potential for further fun in the future?" she would ask, oversimplifying Esperia's sophistry for the sake of easy conversation. Nana understood human emotion far less than most. Anyone talking about the true essence of compassion and the like, was a waste on Nana. What she understood, was how the strong ruled the weak.

Out of all of what Esperia had said, Nana understood the bit about conquering the most. It was the strong's right to exercise their will upon the weak after all. Nana had stopped laughing altogether at this point.

It was Esperia's turn to laugh. Nana knew that the time for the two women was about to end, at least temporarily. She watched passively as Esperia drank a small vial of liquid. Nana felt no magical change, but visually, she noticed Esperia's eyes had changed to a crimson, similar to a certain someone in the guild. Even before Esperia told her, Nana expected the vampire bit, but not the higher end. She had heard about vampire lords and the like- mostly after her fight with Lucretia who was a werewolf. At the time, Nana didn't know what a werewolf was and had mistakenly attacked the S Rank mage, thinking she was a lowly beast. How wrong she realized her mistake was at that time. Similar to this battle, although the circumstances were different and Nana knew full well she was biting off more than she could chew. She gazed momentarily at Esperia's barely covered hips, her cloak covering only her most sensitive bits. Definitely more than Nana could chew.

Nana remained passive all throughout Esperia's latter part of her explanation. Although Nana was nothing like a benefactor race, she too knew that she herself was becoming an origin of her race. She could feel it, a slow creeping corruption from deep within her being. It had started the moment she had wrestled control of her obscura from the demons responsible for daemon powers. The sensation of corruption had furthered within her when she had struck the contract with the devil Zalambur. If she kept at the pace she was going, Nana was sure of one thing. Some day in the future, she would have the chance of fight Esperia again as maybe an equal.

"If you were to fight my teacher today after your bout with me, you would lose. You, him and myself would all be disappointed. Come again when you've fully recovered your strength and next time, I'll not interrupt your fight Erebus-Sensei." she would say at length, willing to turn a blind eye to Esperia's transgression of entering the forbidden forest. It was an easy thing after all. For Nana did whatever she wished. That was why her teacher had such a hard time dealing with her. She operated on a principle of doing as she was told to the exact letter. If there was room to wiggle in extra things, she would take full liberties. Letting Esperia go was one of those liberties. No one had specifically told Nana that she couldn't let anyone enter and then leave the forest after all. Erebus would surely thank his pupil some day, when he was given the opportunity to fight Esperia to his heart's content. He was a warrior at heart. That was probably part of the reason he was out for blood against Blue Pegasus.

She had to nothing nothing else to say to Esperia. There as things she wanted to say, but the timing was not right. The mood was different and Nana no longer had a desire to kill the woman. Similar to Esperia's sentiment, Nana wanted to see just how far Esperia could go. "Goodbye for now, Esperia-chan~!" she would say with a heartfelt smile on her face as she would stand up suddenly. She would begin to make her journey back towards the guild hall of Eternal Nightmare with Spur being hugged to her bare chest, without any clothes on. Some may have thought that strange and maybe would question her as to why she was naked upon her arrival- but if questioned, she would simply say that she had misplaced her clothing. She wouldn't mention her fight with Esperia, not to anyone but her teacher.

For a moment Esperia simply smiled at Nana as she departed, after which the vampire turned her gaze toward the nearby trees. "How long are you going to keep watching Zachaeus?"

the words earned a soft chuckle from the shadows as a small bat hovered closer to her, depositing what appeared to be a small vial of sorts into her hands. "I was merely curious to see how my apprentice would fare~" The bat chimed in a soft feminine voice. "Nonetheless, I have delivered to you a sample of my blood as requested. Nonetheless, be careful walking in my skin, we both have our fair share of enemies in the world~"

And with these words the bat disappeared into the canopy of trees, leaving Esperia to gaze at the vial with a mischievous smile on her lips. It was time to set in motion her plans for the future. And the first step had been taken...
