Alexandre took a new quest when going out to town. He made sure not to be too drunk when taking the paper. He sighed as he saw the quest options laid out. Nothing struck his fancy. Its as if a bounty hunter came here and took the best and most adventurous jobs and only left petty leftovers to anyone else. Most of these jobs seemed harmless. But there was no action. And he was NOT gonna go diving again.

So he scoured the quest board for a bit. Or at least 5 minutes. But 5 minutes was a lot of standing still and scanning whats infront of you. There was one thing that caught his eye eventually. Or maybe it was the best out of the worst. He took the paper and read that the Chief of this island lost an heirloom. Everything seemed pretty explained to him. Personally he saw no reason to go to the Chief. Maybe he could just go to where the heirloom was last spotted and like cut out some of the fat from the work. Well, its best to consult with the other Dragon Slayer, Drakkon.

So the icy dragon slayer made his way over to his temporary partner in crime. He used the tried and true method of snooping out where the drunken dragon slayer was, using his nose.
Eventually finding the man, he gave him he paper
"New job. Do you wanna go to the chief or do you wanna cut to the chase and go to the last seen spot to find the missing heirloom?" he asked the man

Drakkon was drinking right now; it was always time for drinking to him. He couldn’t help it as it was one of his guilty pleasures. He felt like the pills could come later and that was for sure. The young man was enjoying himself as he figured that there were more jobs to do on this island. He figured that he could go and look at the job board to find something for them to do. It was then, he would look at Alexandre as he had found him. It would seem like he had a paper and he would look it over. He would read it over and he would look at Alexandre.

He heard his questions and he wouldn’t think too long on it. They might as well get the job done quickly.

“I think we go to the forest and start looking. He gave us everything e need to know about this. And we know where to go and meet him afterward.” He said to Alexandre.

He would get up from where he was sitting and he would stretch his arms into the air. He would rub his right eye as he would start making his way to the forest. This was good though, if they did this for the Chief Kahuna, then they would have a bunch of brownie points with this island and he was cool with that being the reward.

He asked Drakkon what he prefered, and the younger man said he wanted to go to the forest right away. They have the info, so why not go there. Alexandre nodded.

The two would make their way to the forest. He remembered when he was here during the herb search. This time they were searching for something else. Alexandre didnt talk much during the walk, because he really had no idea what to talk about with Drakkon, nor did he seem the type.

Eventually the two would arrive at the forest, and the first thing they would be greeted was that kid, Keanu if he remembers correctly. He looks and realizes that Keanu looks like he's searching for something. If his gut is right, Keanu might be looking for the same thing the two dragon slayers were looking for. But the kid looks more distressed. If anything, he smells of guilt.
Alexandre walked over to the lad and stopped him. He said "Explain yourself" and he did.

Apparently the lad is responsible for the loss, he borrowed the item to help bring him luck when battling the War Hog in the woods, but unfortunately failed in his attempt and lost the item. Alexandre merely blinked and said "War Hog?"
What did they get themselves into this time?
Surely cant be that bad, its just a pig. A nasty wild pig. They can do this.

Drakkon would walk with Alexandre as they were heading to their next destination. While they were doing that, it would seem like things were quiet between the two of them. He wondered if Alexandre was okay. He was about to say something, but they would approach the forest. This was basically the forest they found the herb in. When he did try to talk they would see a familiar person not too far from them.

The Dragon Slayer wondered what he was doing here. It would seem like the kid who saw us spying on the guards, the person they helped at the beach was here. They were looking for something, and he would look over to Alexandre. The man would get the information they needed out of this kid and it would seem like he was the one who had taken the heirloom. He shook his head because the kid didn’t have it now.

At least he was the reason they were getting paid. He would look around the place as he was sniffing around. If the War Hog had it, then it would mean catching its scent would be the best thing these two Dragon Slayers could do.

“I’m pretty sure we can take this thing on without a problem.” He said to him as he would continue looking around.

It wouldn’t take long for Drakkon to catch a scent and he would look over Alexandre.

“Come here, this could be the scent we’re looking for.” He said to Alexandre, so he could get the scent as well.

Looks like Drakkon had the idea to sniff the beast out. Alexandre didnt think they can do it considering its a beast out in the wilderness. It would surely have a naturey like smell. Well Alex didnt think he can find it that way, perhaps Drakkon being younger has a better sense of smell and could get it scent. So Alexandre went to use a different method, and thats by seeing if it can find the beasts footprints. Or maybe, in case Keanu left the combat area, he had to make sure
"Did you fight the animal here or elsewhere?" because if he fought it elsewhere, then the scent for Drakkon could be stronger there, and it could've left tracks for Alexandre to follow

Although before Keanu could answer, Drakkon actually caught the scent and told that to them, which made Alexandre surprised and look at the younger slayer.
Alexandre got up and approached Drakkon. He tried to see if he could also get the beasts scent. But he wasnt quite sure. He had something alright, but it was extremely faint and he couldnt tell if that was the war hog or not. So in this case he decided to trust Drakkon
"Lead the way. I think you got this" or well more so then him. But in any case, he readied his weapon. You could never be too sure. Just in case the wild animal decides to pounce on them if its startled. With a name like war hog, well... the name speaks for itself. The two would follow the scent trail and eventually they would find it.
Or rather they found the beast in its den

Drakkon would hear Alexandre and it would seem like he was going to be leading the way on this. He would shake his head as he would follow the scent of the War Hog. It was getting stronger while he moved as around. It would seem like this was indeed the Boar they were looking for. The creature may have smelled like the wild, but War Hogs had a different scent than other creatures. That was what he picked up, and it was what he was following.

“It seems like we’re getting closer to the beast’s home. It’s starting to stink even more than when I caught the scent.” He said to the group.

He kept moving as he was cautious about what could happen. The Dragon Slayer didn’t want this beast to attack them when he wasn’t paying attention. That was why he stood focused, so he could react if he needed to.

He would take paused for a second as he was trying to gain a sense of direction of where it could have gone, but he would notice that the War Hog’s scent was all over the place. The problem was, they weren’t even at its den.

“The Scent is everywhere. We need to find another way to find this War Hog, or we are out of luck.” He brought this up as he would hope that they could find the heirloom and be on their way to getting rewarded.

He would be close behind Drakkon, as the younger slayer had a better scent to follow. Eventually as they would walk, they would come to a halt. Sure as they walked Alexandre would feel the scent getting stronger and stronger, but there came a point where they couldnt pin point the direction anymore. It is seemingly as if the scent surrounded them

"Could it be possible we are in its den and marked territory?" he asked both Drakkon and Keanu.
Chances are that the war hog was away. And this place could have a scent because it was its home and ran around everywhere. Alexandre looked around and motioned the two to come over.
He'd point to the ground "This looks fresh. I think I know where it is" he spoke and would take the lead as he'd track down the beast. Who was revealled later to have the heirloom

He looked at the two "Ok, so we're gonna 100% fight this thing. Any ideas people? I'd kind of want to strategize before going in guns blazing" he looked both at Drakkon and Keanu. The war hog really was a beast to behold. Keanu was worse for wear and not in his best shape. Truthfully, it seemed foolish to fight that thing one on one. Best bet was they use intelligence to get their way. Some organized plan of action to attack an swiftly deal with the war hog. Hopefully none of his partners are the type to charge in blindly

Drakkon was confused as he didn’t know where to go next. He looked over to Alexandre as he had brought up a very good point. This might have been the den itself, which meant that they could probably find what they came here for. Still, he was looking around until he noticed that his partner wanted to show them something. He would approach him and it would seem like he had a lead on where to go. That was good, and he would follow Alexandre as he was doing the tracking now.

It wouldn’t take long but they would bump into the War Hog. That was when he looked at Alexandre and he would smile at the man.

“We definitely going to fight this. Are you good with a katana, I can let you use mine.” He said as he would unsheathe his blade to Alexandre.

“It would make it harder for the beast to get close to us. Not saying that it wouldn’t just charge right at us, but that way we have a better chance to get out of the way beforehand. We can also come at the War Hog from two different directions and confuse the beast to take it down before it makes a definitive move.” He spoke out loud as he was looking at the beast move around.

He could see the heirloom and it would seem like it was stuck on the boar. They would have to kill it or somehow get the heirloom away from the boar.

“We kill the boar, get the heirloom and bring back the beast to feast.” He said with a smirk on his face.

Well, it looks like they found the creature. Drakkon asked him if he was good with a katana. Truthfully, he never got to use one. Though it is a single edged blade, kind of like a Messer from the boscans, which personally are more his style. But he wagers he can handle it
"I'm good with a katana" he answered the man. He just needed to hold it to get a feel of it and see its center of weight, just to see how it swings and such. He could adapt to it

Alexandre nodded as he listened to Drakkon. "Sounds reasonable" yeah they can surround it and go from both sides. The next part of the plan he liked, even how he said it, bring the beast to feast
"I like that plan. So divide and conquer it is" Alexandre would say and would stealthily move on to get into his own position so the two could get the boar from both sides. He didnt want to startle the beast so it can go at him. Slowly and steadily, he would make his move to his position. Stopping and then waiting for Drakkon to do the same. To get in the position and see the war hogs next move. He also held the blade that Drakkon gave him, getting a feel for it in his hands. He made a note to self that perhaps he should find a sword for himself and actually train it up once again. It has been ages since he had a proper sword and he was unsure if he'd use a bastard sword like before

Drakkon would hear him and it would bring a smile to his face. He would hand Alexandre the blade without a problem. He would pull out his Enma, even though it was seal proved to be a great blunt object. The weapon didn’t obey him, so it never released itself from the sheathing. It would seem like Alexandre was down with the plan, and he would nod as he was glad. This was going to be simple since the two of them were working together.

He would move around as he could see that Alexandre had done the same. It would seem like they were all getting into position. It was then that they would be on the attack, Drakkon would reveal himself to the bore and he would charge into him. He expected the other two to do the same. He wanted to confuse the bore, so it could be an easy kill. When he got close though, he would smack it with Enma. It would cause the creature to stumble a bit from the blow, and he would look over to the other two hoping that they would be able to deal a definitive blow.

Once things were done here though, he figured they would return the heirloom back to their client, and get rewarded.

With their good plan, the two would be able to defeat the war hog and reclaim the cheif's heirloom. Alexandre handed Drakkon back his blade, and he looked at Keanu. Part of him wanted to scold the boy, but the man couldnt be bothered. At least they were getting paid. The two dragon slayers would take the chiefs heirloom and the war hog and take it back to the chief man himself

They would make their way back to the man and would get rewarded not just with jewels, but with a hearty boar meal to go with it. It was good. But eventually they would leave the chief. It was good that they got on his good side or as Drakkon would say 'getting some brownie points' or whatnot with the chief. Alexandre would take a break for now and focus on a next quest tomorrow. He wanted to do all the quests here so he can go back to the guild hall and train.

Drakkon would hit the Hog, and he would see that the other two would attack afterward. This was good and it would seem like the plan had gone well. He would take the katana back from Alexandre when they were done with this. He would clean the blade clean and he would sheathe the katana before dragging the War Hog back to their client.

When they got there, a few things would happen. They would hand over everything, and the chief would be impressed with everything. He would take his heirloom back, he would reward them and assisted that they stayed. It would take a while, but they were eating the boar that they had slayed. It was an amazing time and meal for Drakkon as he was a gluttony when it came to things like this. Still, when it was all said in done, the Dragon Slayer would find him heading to a local tavern to get wasted for the night before another job was taken.
