Alexandre
It was time and the two arrived at their location. The enemy was there Chaos Eclipse. He saw that some guild members were already taking action and battling the enemy, others were more stealthy in sabotaging the enemy, while others would escort the civillians away from harm and help rescue them from the enemy.

Alexandre looked at Rose and spoke "Where do your talents lie? I am a fighter and my best role is to fight the enemy head on? What about you?" technically she was with the rest of the guild. Despite him unable to guess her age, he figured he should still treat her as an adult and he didnt need to baby her anymore. She was a Paradise Dawn member and thus he would behave accordingly. What her next strategic moves were, were up to her. If she wanted she could still work with him. But for now, his plan of action was to fight the enemy. So he drew his broken blade as he prepared for action

Every Rose has its Thorns

Upon arrival at their destination, the pair found that the enemy was already there, along with some of their fellow guild mates doing their part to help. Some were fighting with Chaos Eclipse head on while others were either sneakily sabotaging the enemy or escorting civilians to safety. Either way, Rose and Alex needed to do something. Rose wasn't the most competent fighter and somewhat of a scaredy cat. However, if she could help bring the citizens of Rush Valley to safety, the slayer felt like she would be doing the job she set out to do here.

Just as Rose was about to ask her partner what he thinks would be the best course of action, Alexandre spoke first, asking what the young slayer was good at before saying he would fight the enemy head on. Rose took a moment to think of how to answer him. On one hand, helping the citizens would be more her forte personally but on the other hand, things were completely chaotic and she felt she might stand a better chance helping on the front lines while sticking close to Alex.

Rose looked at her partner and replied, "I'm honestly not too competent a fighter but I can hold my own when it comes down to it. I think we should stick together, it would be safer if we did, at least I think so..." She trailed off, not sure of what else to say nor what Alexandre thought of her suggestion. At least Rose could say she was honest with him. In any case, they both needed to get to work and fast. Letting this dark guild do as they please in their guild's territory, terrorizing innocent civilians made the slayer's blood boil.

From her voice trailing off, to her eye contact and body language. He could tell that combat was not her forte like his. Which was reasonable. But time was of the essence since they were in the heat of action. He should've asked her what was she good at as they were horseback riding. It was his mistake he didnt ask her that sooner. But he suggested another compromise of an idea
"How about this. You go and find the people of Rush Valley and rescue them. I will stick close to you as a protection escort in case the enemy attacks you two. So like dont worry about me and keep your eyes on the innocent civillian?" he hoped she would like that idea.
That way the both of them get to do what they're good at. She gets to be tender with civillians and get them to safety, while he gets to fight the enemy that tries to attack her and the people

It seemed like Rose was worried for nothing. As if taking notice of the slayer's eye contact and body language, Alex suggested that Rose go and help with the rescue efforts while he would stay close to her as a protection escort so that Rose could focus on helping civilians without worry of enemy attack. Hearing her partner's words, reassured the young slayer and she finally relaxed her tense muscles.

After listening to Alex's suggestion, Rose breathed a sigh of relief. She flashed a confident smile to the man and replied, "Let's make sure to help lots of people Alex! I don't want these chaos eclipse guys to get away with hurting so many innocent people like this!" After saying her piece, Rose stamped her foot on the ground, causing a bright white magic circle to appear beneath both her feet. After it disappeared, Rose took off at incredible speeds.

She assumed he could keep up with her speed since her partner seemed like a much more experienced mage as well as a dragon slayer like herself. In the event that Alexandre fell behind, Rose would halt and wait for him to catch up. However, Rose didn't believe that would be necessary.

Alexandre
He was glad he managed to reassure the young dragon slayer, he saw the burst of confidence that gleamed out of her as she used a spell and dashed away to help the civillians. Alexandre didnt need a spell to keep up as he was actually surprisingly speedy for his age. But with Rose and her spell, one could say he was on par.

Anywho, he would entrust Rose to seek out the defenceless and scurry them off to shelter while he'd just shadow her and stay close. He would use this chance to slice at the Chaos Eclipse people that were nearby and eliminating them from the equation so Rose can conduct her rescue endevaours in peace. Although he would always glance if she was doing ok or if she needed assistance. Alexandre wasnt the rescuing kinda guy, so he was no expert on the matter and the people. He assumed she knew where to determine a safe place.

The ice dragon slayer glanced at the other guildmates but most were unfamiliar. He couldnt spot his usual partner in action which did bum him out. But now he couldnt dwell on that as he was with someone now
"Hows it going over there?" he'd pipe in and ask her if she was holding up well with the rescue and assistance endevaours

Every Rose has its Thorns

As Rose dashed off in search of civilians needing rescue, she saw that Alex had no trouble keeping up with her. Just as the young slayer had expected of someone who was more experienced and better suited to combat. Rose had never really done a mission like rescuing people before, at least not one with such high risks. Although the young mage didn't show it, underneath that confidence was a silent tension.

However, having someone by her side to protect her from any harm that might come, did reassure her thus, keeping that layer of tension thin and below the surface. Her eyes scanned over the vicinity, finding a few people taking cover behind rubble, others trapped under it with unfamiliar members of the guild trying to lift said rubble to help those trapped beneath.

Rose would go over to two small children who seemed to be cowering in a dilapidated building on the verge of collapse. "C'mon kids, this building won't last much longer, I'll take you to safety!" As Rose stretched out her hand to the children who flinched back in utter terror. Seeing this made the slayer feel down as she didn't mean to frighten the children, even if it wasn't her fault.

Even so, she couldn't let that deter her from helping these children. She strengthened her resolve as she crouched down to meet them at eye level, before extending her hand out to them once more. "Please don't be scared, I'm with Paradise Dawn, we're here to beat up the bad guys and help the people, you can trust us, I promise I won't hurt you." This time, Rose spoke softer and more calmly to the kids. Hoping this would help ease their fears and see her in a non-threatening way.

The older-looking of the children, sheeply took her hand and Rose brought the pair out of the building right before it collapsed. Talk about good timing. The loud sound of the building crumbling spooked the kids as they suddenly clung to Rose, the older boy burying her head in her chest. "Oh, there, there it's okay, you'll be safe now." She said gently as she patted the boy's head to comfort him.

Rose was the baby of her family and she'd never really met much of her extended family on either side before she was cast out on her own so she wasn't sure if her attempts to soothe the child's anxiety would work or was right. All she knew was this was what her mother would do whenever Rose was scared back when she was little. Soon after the children seemingly calmed down, Alex popped up to ask how it was going.

Rose looked up at her partner, slightly worried that his appearance might frighten the children more decided to ask for his help in escorting them. "I found these two little kids alone in that building that collapsed just now. I could use your help getting them to safety, with any luck we could find their parents or some kind of guardian so they would be safer." The children who saw Alex, squeezed onto Rose's clothes while hiding behind her.

She gently put her hand over theirs, "Don't worry kids, he may look scary but he's like a really nice uncle and my fellow guild mate, he won't hurt you either." After reassuring the children, they loosened their grip on Rose and stopped hiding. The younger boy was quite brave and approached Alex. "Can you help us find our mom and dad mister? When those bad guys attacked our town, we got separated from them in the crowd that was fleeing." The boy looked up at the man with hope and tears in his eyes. Rose felt for them, after all, not all parents were selfish jerks. Surely these boy's parents were worried sick about their children and probably wanted to go find them or at least that's what Rose hoped was the case.

Alexandre
He shadowed Rose and stuck close to her, making sure she was safe as she scanned the area for people left unattended to rescue. Along the way he'd knock down and out some Chaos Eclipse members that were nearing their position. He'd see that Rose stumbled upon a broken down dilapitated building that looked like it would collapse any second. She had no time to help anyone! For the sake of buying time and security, he'd use his magic to make pillars of ice inside the building, so it could stand more. Which actually then bought Rose just enough time to gain the kids trust and get them up and out to safety.

Out of security and precaution, he'd pipe in and ask how was she holding up with the recue and relations between victim and hero. He forgot that his appearance was not really friendly. Holding a weapon and all. Thats why he let Rose do the rescuing and him the minor assistance and most of the fighting.

She would speak how she found these two children. She was very good in her retelling what has happened. And he nodded. He sheathed his weapon and nodded.
"Right, we can find their parents easily" he just hoped they were alive. After all he can sniff them out, but he cant guarantee what he's sniffing is parents in safety or a corpse. Though Alexandre hoped they were alive
"We're dragon slayers, we can sniff out their parents and reunite them with the kids" he spoke in a more mentor-y manner now, because he was not sure what Rose knew of her abilities. Though he noticed the kids fear and how they clung onto Rose, just confirmed he made the right choice sending her to do the rescuing

Rose though handled it like a champ and reassured them that he's on their side. One of the kids spoke to him and he nodded.
"Yes we can find them" he looks around and sniffs a bit to catch a scent. He was sure Rose would do this better since her senses were sharper. But he was sure enough he got a scent of someone. Perhaps the mother by the scent
"Come. This way." he motioned them to come with him. Though he'd glance at Rose to see if she had those senses developed or if they needed to be honed and trained. She had the motion sickness of a dragon slayer. She should have the senses. Usually its said the worse the motion sickness, the greater power the slayer possessed.

Alexandre
Alexandre managed to lead Rose and her kiddoes she resqued to their parents. He watched as there was an emotional reunion. Which was pretty sweet to an onlooker who was a normal person. But Alexandre wasnt a normal person. He was someone with too much blood on their hands. Too much darkness in them.

Before Rose went on to venture more with him, he spoke "How about you stay there with this family. Protect them in case someone comes to fight them. Show your fearlessness." he spoke and then left her and leapt into action. He drew his blade once more as he dived into the hordes of the enemy.

He could unleash his malice and bloodshed onto them. Alexandre didnt do much to protect the others as he relied on his guild mates to do that. He merely slashed and sliced the Chaos Eclipse enemy. He was able to be as bloody and as brutal as he wanted. But he was nowhere as brutal as Tamas would be. That man was a large tank. Alexandre could match his bloodlust but not his brutality. If Tamas was a warrior, Alex would be the rogue of the group. So his attacks were different in nature. Nevertheless both men enjoyed the gore. There were not heroic in any way. Which is why they joined Paradise Dawn. A guild that allowed them to be more cutthroat than the rest. Granted Alexandre was supposed to join Sleeping Calamity, but that meeting didnt go through. So he was here at Paradise Dawn, even though he attempted to join Fairy Tail instead. He should thank Elise for sending him onto this path maybe. Granted this was supposed to be the Guild Tamas learns from.

At least Decebal and Durkos were at other guilds. He was pretty sure Decebal was at Eternal Nightmare and Durkos at Utopian Demise. Basically all in dark guilds with Tamas being in this independent one.

But that was a thought for later as now he focused on the enemy and crushing them. He'd see the other guildmates as well as the person he was speaking about.
Tamas who had just arrived to the battlefield. If he only knew. But he can dwell on that later. He should treat this as a solo quest. He cant always depend on the juggernaut to fight his battles.

Alexandre used his ice magic to deal some frost damage on his foes and finishing it off with his melee. He wondered how much more of these Chaos Eclipse guys does he have to fight off. It feels like they tried to raise an army before launching their assault. Perhaps that is why they had enough confidence to strike this guild. Because Alexandre was sure that Yuurei was the most powerful guild master

As he fought the horde of Chaos Eclipse, one of the enemies manage to wound him. Alexandre used his magic to freeze the opponent in place and shatter him with a kick. He soon went away to heal his wounds. Not much to do but bandage yourself up. He found some cloth from the chaos that floated by and he grabbed it to wrap his wound to stop the bleeding. But that stamina, he was an old man by fighting standards. He was not at his strongest, so his stamina was leaving him. He was endagering himself.

Nevertheless he knew he couldnt cower in fear but fight onward. He could've swore he saw Rose in the distance, which was more reason not to hide and back down. So he jumped back into action holding his blade. Fighting off the enemy as much as possible.

But for a solo man, these numbers were too much, especially for a 2v1 battle. While Alexandre did see the enemy numbers were thinnig, they were trying to take out Paradise Dawn members by teamwork. It wouldnt be long before one of them lands a shot. Which in this case was a backstab. Alexandre managed to defeat the enemy infront of him and deal with the enemy who pulled out the knife and made him yelp from the pain. Before kindly returning the favour and stabbing the enemy in the face.

Alexandre
He wanted to go and heal to recover, but even that was no easy task. As there were still enemies a plenty. And he wouldnt be able to find safe space just like that. Enemies where everywhere, no matter how much you cut them down. As he fought through them. One of them landed a shot on his foot with an arrow that went thru
"Fuck" is what he thought to himself as he fell onto the ground and quickly conjuring out an ice spike out of the thin air to lodge it into the archers head.

Alexandre pulled himself away from the battlefield and all those in it. Including allies. He pulled out an arrow that was in his foot. He hated to say this but the pain was unbearable. He got 3 rather strong wounds on him and he was not in the best shape. He needed to rest.

Again he went to improvise some first aid he could do. Like try and disinfect the wounds. He had some alcohol on him. Drinkable one, not quite medical and sterile, but contained alcohol so it should in theory do good. He had a flask of some booze with him. Like beer and he decided to pour that on the wound. He wasnt sure how effective that was to say. Its not like he knew the percentage of alcohol. But he needed to do this to recover.

He hated this, but he felt he needed to stay out of the battle for now. He sat and wanted to rest against the wall but remembed his back got fucked up too. He definitelly needed assistance from a teammate, but everyone was busy either helping civillians or fighting the enemy.

Granted he could go back to Rose, but he didnt want her to see him in this injured state. He decided to nevertheless push himself onward, even if he was unable to walk. He went behind some cover, preferable with a good vantage point so he can see the enemy. And he would use his magic to assist from afar.

Using an ice spike like a projectile for sniping the enemies. But even with that help, he needed to mind his mana and how much magic output he can do. Alexandre cursed his weakness and lamented his woes. He was not in his prime like these younger generations are. Nor is he magical like a seraph or something that has an extended life. He was a mere mortal man

On the bright side, the numbers were surely dwinding and he could see Tamas taking care of the few last men that were up there. Because he arrived so late he was the one full of vigor the most. Alexandre though didnt want his companion to see him in this state. So he went to find a nurse or a medic. Eventually he'd find a volunteer nurse and put himself in her care.

While other members of Paradise Dawn would go on to help the civillians. Including Tamas as well, Alexandre though had to stay out of that. He was out for the count as he was too wounded to actually help the wounded and the trapped and the homeless.

The medic were able to take him in and treat him. They didnt have healing magic but good ol fashion traditional methods of non magic, which meant his recovery process would be long. He felt hurt and pain. It was unbearable, but something he had to endure. Although at least he was in the company of a lovely and caring lady who was pleasing on the eye.
It was sad she had to tend to others as well as he enjoyed the nurses presence and he wished to spend time with her more. So only he could do is rest and watch her at work while hearing some whispers and going ons from the passerby people from his guild that brought people for medical care.
Alexandre couldnt help but he wondered if he even wanted to help if he was able to. Probably not. Charity work was not his kind of work, so he was glad to stay out of this. Although the man didnt know of the challenges to come, for his old age he felt this was enough excitement for a day. He would trust Tamas and the guild to take care of the Chaos Eclipse. And the more things would move on where the guild would take care of the problem, the more he could relax. With him eventually being free from medical care, he was able to return to his guild just on time as they would celebrate their victory over Chaos Eclipse. Alexandre wanted to see Tamas, but would see that his friend was busy and having a moment with Lumikki. So he opted to celebrate on his own
