QUEST

Quest: From Under The Ground

Client:
Adarian the Heretic: Adarian moves around Dahlia in secret with his cult while keeping themselves busy with the taboo magic of Necromancery. Due to the large amount of graveyards in and around Dahlia, it is the perfect location for them to experiment with their magic here. The cult is one of the reasons that there are many undead roaming around the town.

In Dahlia, a cult operates under the name of the Red Hades Cult. Its leader, Adarian, also known as Adarian the Heretic, practices his arts along with the rest of the cult in the Aldenwald and the Forsaken Cemetery. Since a close eye is being held on them, they are in need of a new person who will be able to enter the Forsaken Cemetery late at night and make their lives easier. The recently deceased haven't been buried yet, their caskets are laying in the open and the holes still need to be dug. In order for Adarian to train his new cultsmen without much hassle, someone needs to break all the caskets laying around. They may not use any magic since it might affect the corpses, and the most fresh and untouched are needed to train the new cultsmen.

Fate would put her in the same place she had been in before. Another piece of paper lay in her hands with a nother list of instructions. It was almost flatting to have so many requests lined up for her since she arrived in this country. Sin was different than this place. Dahlia had gotten all of her attention, for now at least. She would entertain these mortals, if just for this moment. The second she was no longer drawn, she would escape from this place and seek a new haven. For now, she would do as she pleased, and this church and the heresy that followed, would entertain her.

This world was hers for the taking, but that wasn't what she wanted. In this country, she shared the alias of a god of second chances, and would represent the ideals directly. A god is only as strong as the faith that follows. She would serve those that give her, her offerings, and in this case, it would be payment for her tasks.

"She lives... She lives..." a sickly old man would say, faint of breath. Whatever Caitlyn had done had served her well for the faith, but she had the ideals all wrong. She would rise a new home to house her people. She would come to aid all that prayed to her.

Tonight, she made her way to the graveyard, a place she had grown to like and enjoy.

"The caretaker has taken to us before. Today should be no different." the voice of Lau would echo within the confines of her mind.

"But he was not the one who employed us. We work for those who ask for our hand." the voice of Yukiro would reply. They were both halves of the same coin. It had taken this long to get this far, and they would continue.

Arriving, she would hope the one in charge would greet her, but perhaps that was a ways away. She was going to have to deal with his underlings for now.

"Ah, you again." the man spoke. He was familiar, but Nameless wouldn't know, she could barely remember anyone's face, let alone a name. Nameless had sort of an idea of what today was about.

"You ask me to send people to their graves, and now you want me to raise them again? Simple enough." she smiled, the same clothing of before. It had only been a day since her last incident. Everything worked so fast, but why?

"It's a complicated world. All I need is for you to open some boxes. We just need some practice. Leave the goods unharmed and maybe we'll throw a little extra you way." he tried to convince her, but was talking to a wall.

"Sure!" . . . of course, if that wall was always on your side. After all, she would do almost anything for an offering. "You'll best be ready by dawn cuz I'ma do it right meow!" she said it with glee before walking off and away from him. She was used to cleaning up messes and making lives a bit easier. With a hum and a whistle, she went back to her own doings.

She would make her way without a rush, waiting for the sky to turn black and for the creatures of the night to slowly creep out. Sure, she was only a neko, but filled with a will unlike any other. Her hunger for flesh and thirst for blood was enough to even gross vampires and demons. She would serve those who requested her down to the letter. She had little fear, if it was even something that existed within her. She was an emotionless being with a hunger for chaos. She wanted nothing more than to cause a bit of havoc.

When she neared the gates of the cemetery, she would walk a few more yard down and hop the fence. With a long hanging fog from morning dew and the added eerieness  of the creepy night, no one would see or notice her. The screams of innocent lives in the distance would make sure she wasn't even heard.

As she entered the graveyard, she would see a few gatherings of people seeking some sort of grief or redemption of loss. It was new to her. She knew they honored their loss lives, but why would they carry on so weak? Why not honor their lives by living in happiness, nor sorrow?

She would hold her tongue, her expressions of joy for the tainted earth. She would take up flowers left on graves and make her own bouquet as she begun her search of the family she had slain just days ago for Santos.

She would make her way without a sound, stepping lightly with her bare feet, feeling the earth and dirt betwixt her toes. There was no reason for her to try and clean up, not in this place at least. For now, she would ran rampant and free. She was no house cat, and she would never be.

She would make her way past the few families that dwelled on this foggy night to the far side of the cemetery. When she was sure no one was looking any longer, she would drop the flowers and pick up one of the shovels left behind to dig the pits that sat near the few caskets. She didn't really need it, but there was no reason for her to sully her own claws. It was a waste of power, and besides she didn't want to get them dirty. Nameless would smile as she used the spade as a means of prying the caskets open. She knew a thing or two about burials, and to know where the nails, screws and locks were was just enough to make her night just that much easier.

With a few seconds of correct placement and weight and pressure at just the right spot... yes,  right there. The casket would begin to open bit by bit. She would do it again . . . and again . . .and again. Soon, in the matter of no more than a few minutes, one would begin to open, even if the lid was still kept down. She would make sure they were all easily accessible, but left closed to ensure no one noticed and that the waxed bodies were kept fresh. And boy were they fresh . . .  Dropping the spade, her task would be completed. She would make her way out in reverse, passing by the same families and people as she did before. Tears filled their eyes in their own mourning, and her own self was left a blur to them.
